Advanced Micro Devices Extends Partnership With Mentor Graphics

Advanced Micro Devices said Monday it signed a new three-year agreement to expand its partnership with Mentor Graphics Corporation (MENT), a provider of electronic hardware and software design products. Shares of AMD rose 1.5% intraday.

“We are giving our customers access to a set of Linux tools and expertise to build new applications in a variety of vertical segments such as casino gaming, healthcare, industrial and more,” said Scott Aylor, the general manager of AMD Enterprise Solutions.

AMD and Mentor set up a software ecosystem for developers in 2014, offering open-source tools for building, debugging, analyzing and optimizing embedded software.  Shares of AMD trade near the top end of their 52-week price range of $1.75 Р$9.23.
