General Motors said its sales to individual retail customers in the US rose more than 3% in December from a year earlier to 249,983 vehicles, its best GM December performance since 2007.
US retail sales at its Chevrolet brand jumped 8%, the best December sales performance since 2005, the company said on Wednesday.
GM’s December US retail market share rose 0.3 points to 17.6%, based on initial estimates, the company said. For the entire year, GM gained 0.5 points of retail market share to 16.8%, it said. GM shares rose 4% on Wednesday.
